Understanding Team Engagement in Hybrid Work Environments
A doctoral research study exploring how middle managers shape team engagement in hybrid teams through everyday practices and team-level subcultures.
Hybrid work has changed how teams connect, collaborate, and stay engaged. While many organizations continue to refine their hybrid work models, an important question remains: what do managers do that helps teams stay engaged in this environment?
This doctoral research study examines how middle managers’ day-to-day practices may influence team engagement in hybrid work settings. It focuses on how trust, support, communication, psychological safety, and meaning may shape the experience of team members working across in-person and remote contexts.
The goal is to generate practical insights that may help organizations strengthen engagement in hybrid teams.
